Brenda's Story
Current as of Sept. 2022: I am living in Medford, Oregon and I LOVE it here. The winters are much milder than Illinois and the summers are not nearly as humid. I love the fact that I can go snow skiing, camping in the national forest, visit a variety of lakes and rivers and all within one hour from home. The coast is about 3 hours away.
I was married for 24 years which ended in a divorce. I then married Thomas who was retired Air Force. & Tom passed away in 2011. For those of you who knew my brother Brad, he also passed away in 2011. I have one child, a daughter Sheri who is 52. She had one child, Dustin who died 2021 at age 32. I am also a great grandmother to a beautiful 8 year old girl, Kierionna. Mother & I took Kieri once a week out to lunch and that was the highlight of my mother's life. My mother moved here in 2000 after her husband passed away. Mother & I were best of friends until she died in 2019 at age 93. We were five generations all living here and we were sooo blessed to once be all together!

& my last job was working for a private non-profit organization that dealt with developmentally disabled adults for 11 years. For 4 plus years I taught a craft class to a group of up to 10 clients once a week
I'm into all sorts of crafts but am particularly fond of making beaded jewelry. Since I retired I've taken up oil painting and I love it.
In May & June of 2015 my daughter, Sheri, & I fulfilled my lifelong dream of visiting Ireland & Scotland. We were gone for 19 days & also were in Wales & London. Oh my! What an adventure it was! We had sooo much fun, and the castles - WOW! We both want to go back & visit mainly southern Ireland..
Even though I dd not graduate from Flora H.S. I would love to hear from any of my "old" friends. My father decided to move the family to Florida right after 8th grade. Unfortunately, the decision he made was so quick I couldn't say bye to my friends. I grew up in Flora and went to school with all the same kids.
